This new version preserves the charm of the original, and at the same time offers a new experience that veteran players will definitely love. In fact, the difficulty level is as old-school as the graphics. Many elements have changed, and the result is an even harder game that requires a lot of skill and patience. You have to get to the end of each level and defeat the boss in order to keep moving forward in the story, which isn't at all easy. The gameplay is the one everybody knows, identical to that of Ghost'n Goblins. Metroid made you beat the game at least 3 times for the best ending, and most players probably had to beat it more times than that.Ghosts'n Demons is a 2D action platformer where you play the mythic knight Sir Arthur, who heads off on an adventure to rescue Princess Prin Prin (as usual), who has been kidnapped by a fearsome demon. Other than some sped-up enemies, quest 2 is completely identical to the first, and the "good ending" you get from beating it isn't exactly impressive. GnG is just a bit more vocal than most in telling you there's a second, harder quest if you try the game again from the beginning. Oh, and as for the "you must beat the game twice" thing - tons of NES games did that. If you can get to the level, it's no huge challenge to beat it. Oh, and the final level is pretty easy, too, and while it's true there are a ton of arremers in it, all but one are positioned so you don't have to fight them unless you choose to. It's nowhere near as hard as people claim it is - hell, level 2 is probably the hardest in the game. Checkpoints are relatively common, you have infinite continues, enemies don't take many hits to kill, and stages are short. It's not THAT hard, guys, and looking at the skill level you show in the video, you're more than capable of beating the game with relative ease.
